Markéta Šonková is a former editor-in-chief of Re:Views and currently serves on the board as a Senior Editor. She is a graduate of both BA and MA programs in English Language and Literature at DEAS; she is a graduate student of International Relations at the Faculty of Social Studies, MU. In the course of her studies, Markéta participated in a semester-long Erasmus exchange at Keele University, UK, summer school at University College Cork, Ireland, Robinson-Martin Security Scholars Program at Prague Security Studies Institute, and international security-oriented summer schools in the Czech Republic.
Markéta is interested in international security, namely in connection to counter-terrorism, American domestic as well as foreign policy, and US-Israeli relations. She previously cooperated on several projects at Masaryk University, worked as PR coordinator for the Prague-based think-tank Association for International Affairs (AMO), and also externally worked for OSCE on a temporary position. She currently lives in Brussels where she is spending her traineeship at the European Commission at the Terrorism and Radicalisation unit of DG HOME.
