Helena has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Anthropology and English Language and Literature. She’s currently working on her MA in English Language Translation. As a teenager, she once borrowed her brother’s camera for a weekend and did not give it back until she got her own. Her favorite activity is crawling outdoors with her camera, however, the realization that animals usually run away from it faster than humans, who sometimes even seem to enjoy having their pictures taken, led her into portrait photography. When she is not hiding behind the camera, she is probably hiding behind a book or escaping into another country to participate in a volunteer project. Besides that, she enjoys destroying the gender binary, which is also one of her academic interests.
